The Factor Slick is Driven by Obsession. Obsession for speed. Obsession for the highest performance. Obsession for all-round adjustability. From the Twin Vane Evo downtube and the hidden front brake, to the integrated carbon StoraPak, the obsession is in the details to create the fastest and most technically advanced aero bike.

Factor’s design and engineering team has been obsessively studying, modifying and enhancing the frame structure in search of the lowest aerodynamic drag and the highest stiffness possible. Every shape in the frame come as a result of extensive CFD and wind tunnel testing, combined with riding feedback from some of the best time-trialists and triathletes in the world. The results? The Factor Slick cuts straight through the wind, while also providing impressive power transfer and handling.

Teaming up with bike-fitting specialist 51 Speedshop, the Slick aerobars provide all-round adjustability while totally integrated for reduced aero drag.

Triathlon specific accessories come standard on the Slick, integrated in the bike structure and designed for maximum convenience of use while training or racing. The rear-mounted carbon StoraPak, top-tube threaded bosses and BTA hydration mount provide a complete support solution for the performing triathlete.

“During the wind tunnel testing I felt at ease and the gains are really obvious. It is a really amazing bike by performance and aesthetics”

Romain Bardet (AG2R LA MONDIALE) at the CMEFE wind tunnel in Geneva, November 2016. Testing conducted by Mavic with Factor Bikes

Factor has worked obsessively to create the fastest machine ever. Not just on paper, but on the road. This is the result of extensive aerodynamic design work, structural manufacturing optimization for best power transfer, integration of components and a wide range of adjustability to fit the rider perfectly.

Factor has worked tirelessly on the development of the Twin Vane Evo downtube, for more aerodynamic efficiency and maximum frame stiffness. The Twin Vane Evo takes all what we learned during the extensive aerodynamic work to design the Factor SLiCK, and has been developed through CFD in the computer and later optimized in the wind tunnel. This feature on the ONE shows an expertise in design and engineering that is unique to Factor.

The Factor Slick has been designed to push the limits beyond anything else seen in the market. Using CFD and wind tunnel data, we have perfected the aerodynamic profile of every section in combination with superior riding characteristics.

  • Optimized Twin Vane Evo downtube lets the air run through while increasing the bike stiffness at the BB and headset.
  • Wide stance seat stays to allow the air to flow free through, rather than around, the frame and rear wheel.
  • Deep airfoil seat tube and seatpost contours the rear wheel to hide it from the wind.
  • The Slick external fork features a hidden, integrated brake and wide stance, deep airfoil profiled legs.

Using the most advanced CFD software, the Factor ONE has been shaped for the best aerodynamics without sacrificing riding performance. At the Factor Engineering Centre, our team of designers and engineers has run multiple tube shape iterations in pursuit of speed. The resulting shapes have also been validated and perfected at the wind tunnel and during velodrome tests.

Factor and 51 SPEEDSHOP have teamed up to create the most adjustable and integrated aerobar in the market.

51 SPEEDSHOP is a collective of industry leading bike fitters, performance analysts, and athletes. Founded by Mat Steinmetz, 51 SPEEDSHOP has a combined 20+ years of teaching and performing bike fits, aerodynamic testing, and product development. When you work
with something every day, as we do with bikes and their components, you develop an understanding of what works.

Our line of products are the cumulative result of what we believe to be the very best performing line of bicycle components on the planet. Comfort, power and aerodynamics are what we strive for when fitting athletes to their bikes. These principles are at the core of our development when designing products. Invisible to the wind, seamless with the athlete and bulletproof when you need them to perform.

As bike fit and performance experts, we understand the importance of the cyclist’s contact points. The 51 SPEEDSHOP Mono-Riser Aero Bar System is designed for the optimisation of biomechanical alignment, support, and aerodynamics.

The 51 Speedshop Mono-Riser aerobar connects the athlete to the bike in a way that maximizes comfort through significant adjustability, while providing industry leading aerodynamics.
Designed for the rigors of the Tour de France and the Ironman World Championships, it uses the finest materials for each application, from the carbon fibre basebar and upper bridge,
to 7000 series forged aluminum stem and tower base plate, to stainless steel hardware.

Letting the air run through the frame and wheels, instead of around it, for superior aerodynamics and lateral stiffness.

  • Arm pad width adjusts from 142mm – 255mm by utilizing one of the two included wing options.
  • Three unique extension shapes based on rider preference.
  • Carbon reinforced nylon pad holder provides rigidity and support.
  • Debossed channels allow airflow to aid in cooling.
  • Arm pads adjust up to 60mm high and reach by 50mm
  • Unique “mono-riser” mounting system allows height adjustment through a simple 2 bolt design.
  • Proprietary arm pad provides the ideal amount of surface area and cushion.

Factor Slick is offered with Zero and Offset seatposts, with the aerodynamic profile allowing for easy Di2 internal battery installation. 1-bolt saddle clamp for easy setup, available for carbon and metal saddle rails (7×9 or 7×7 rails)

Zero and +40mm stems are offered, to fit a wide range of stacks and TT or Triathlon styles. Please refer to the Pad Stack&Reach chart to find the perfect fit.

Factor has developed a custom brake for the Slick, integrated in the fork, allowing for easy access and service.

Factor Slick includes a seat-tube mounted Stora-Pak, a lightweight carbon fibre storage solution to carry spare parts for training or triathlon racing. The StoraPak is fully integrated with no aerodynamic penalty and easy installation. Storapack has room for 2 inner tubes, tyre levers, CO2 inflation device with 2 spare cartidges and a small multi-tool.

Directly mounted to the aerobar, the BTA mount comes standard on the Slick. The BTA mount allows for forward or rearward bottle mounting in between the pads.

BTA hydration systems allow the triathlete to use their preferred cage and bottle, and take standard bottles from aid stations on the fly. BTA hydration systems have proved to be the fastest and most convenient solution for triathlon.
